What is Health from Data?
This March marks the start of my new blog – Health From Data. Here I blog about topics related to RWE-research, including trends, sources, and uses of real-world evidence. I aim to write in a way that requires no previous knowledge of the field. During these exceptional times, I – like many of us – am working from my home office, with a pack of lazy sighthounds as my co-workers. I wish to offer you new information, ideas, and enjoyable moments with this blog!
I am Liisa, and I’m the writer of this blog. My daily work at Medaffcon concentrates on RWE-research. Therefore, I’m able to offer a practical point of view on the subject. I have conducted research for both public and private sectors, which you may see in my viewpoints. Science communication has always been an important field for me, and as a non-fiction writer, I like to keep a narrative touch in my writing.
“The need for this blog was noticed in real-world”
It has been challenging to stay up-to-date on RWE literature and new publications – at least for me because no established forums or bloggers concentrate on these topics.
Health from Data blog was established in 2021 to meet this need. I’m planning on writing eight blog posts this year, on top of which, I will post a few extra blogs written by visiting writers. Each blog post will be available both in English and Finnish.
I am happy to read any feedback and comments via social media or e-mail!
