An Epidemiologist / Scientific Advisor

Medaffcon Oy is an Espoo, Finland, based Real World Evidence, Medical Affairs and Market Access consulting company providing services in Finland and Sweden. Medaffcon is looking for an epidemiologist / Scientific Advisor to plan, coordinate and execute real world evidence studies in Sweden.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a curious and innovative mindset to join our team. Applicants are expected to have PhD in the field of epidemiology / life science / medical science / pharmacy. The position requires good problem solving and analytical skills, knowledge on study designs, and data sources, good stress tolerance and ability to multitask and work independently. Excellent project management and communication skills (including scientific presenting and writing in English) are needed to successfully run the tasks.

Medaffcon offers an exciting position in a non-hierarchical and creative team environment. The person will be involved in versatile, scientifically interesting projects in the field of healthcare and real-world evidence research. We provide comprehensive training in our procedures and processes.

The tasks in the positions will include:

  • Project management and customer contact for planning and executing RWE studies
  • Coordinating and applying for ethical and study permits
  • Scientific writing of protocols, reports, and manuscripts
  • Statistical interpretation
  • Contact with healthcare professionals for project execution

To succeed in the positions the applicant should have:

  • Epidemiological skills and understanding of statistical analyses
  • Have excellent project management skills
  • Have excellent written and oral skills in Swedish and English
  • Have excellent collaborative and social skills
  • Relevant educational background

Additional advantages to succeed in the position include:

  • Pharma industry experience
  • Knowledge of real-world evidence data sources and study application processes across the Nordics
  • R programming skills
